Each Red Gold engine features:

• More new factory parts:
  More new parts are standard on the Red Gold. New cylinder assemblies, new camshaft and tappets, new hydraulic units and new through bolts are all part of the Red Gold package. In addition, all new parts are thoroughly inspected prior to assembly.

• Static and Dynamic Balancing:
  The importance of having a perfectly balanced engine cannot be overstated. An out-of-balance engine can cause cracking of the engine mount and crankcase, and can contribute to premature wear of engine parts. In Red Gold, all reciprocating parts are weighed individually and then set matched to ensure mass balance. After mating these parts with a dynamically balanced crankshaft, we have virtually eliminated any rotational imbalance. All Mattituck Red Gold engines are balanced to precise tolerances.

• Combustion equalization process:
  Mattituck has the advantage of a huge parts inventory - over 1,000 cylinders in stock. Using advanced state-of-the-art tooling, critical engine components are precisely measured for weight, dimension, volume and airflow. These component parts are then paired to the dimensional variations of the individual crankcase in order to achieve the best matched component set possible. The end result is maximum equalized power pulses from each cylinder. Combining a precision balanced rotating assembly with equalized cylinder power extends engine life and creates a new-standard in performance.

• Thrust Load Dynamometer testing:
  All Red Gold engines are thrust load dynamometer tested. Testing is done by use of a test cell propeller in conjunction with a telemetry dynamometer to measure propeller shaft output. This allows us to operate the engine through its full range, and confirm that it is meeting the manufacturer's parameters for maximum horsepower output.

• Configurations:
  Red Gold is available for both certified and experimental engines. Through use of computer component design technology we can custom design an experimental engine to meet a customer's specific needs.

• Extended warranty:
  With Red Gold's new limit overhaul comes a full parts, accessories and labor warranty for 1 year/480 hours and then engines and parts are pro-rated to the TBO.
